Biography
Jill D'Aquila, PhD, CPA has been an accounting educator for over twenty years and has also worked in industry - primarily in internal auditing and in public accounting. In addition to working with undergraduate, MBA, and DBA students, she also serves as the Director of Placement for accounting and finance students in the department. She has been an active member of the Florida Institute of CPAs, the American Accounting Association, and the American Institute of CPAs. She has over twenty refereed journal articles, has presented at numerous conferences around the country, and is a reviewer for several business journals. Her research interests include internal control, fraudulent financial reporting, ethics, teaching methods, and sustainability.

I am a CPA with work experience in public accounting (Laventhol & Horwath) and internal auditing (New York University), among other accounting areas. I am currently a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the American Accounting Association.
Recent Research
My research interests include fraudulent financial reporting, ethics, internal control, teaching, and sustainability. I have published in Issues in Accounting Education, Journal of Accounting Education, Managerial Auditing Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Forensic and Investigative Accounting, Journal of Forensic Accounting, Advances in Accounting Education: Teaching and Curriculum Innovations; CPA Journal, Global Perspectives in Accounting Education, and Journal of Education for Business, among others. I am an ad-hoc reviewer for Journal of Business Ethics and also serve as a reviewer for other journals and conferences. Some recent publications include:​
